The opening of the new Lawhill Maritime Centre building in March 2010. The modern Lawhill Maritime Centre facilities – generously donated by the TK Foundation (Bahamas) and several other donors – provides comfortable accommodation, dining and recreational facilities for 54 students who live away from Simon’s Town and its environs.
