Our 30th anniversary year is all about celebrating the achievements and milestones of the past three decades – and spreading the good news of the impact our 100 percent donor-funded, maritime education programme has had on young lives.
With the focus of our 30th annivesary on thanking our loyal and generous donors and recognising the many alumni who have used the opportunities given to them to change lives, we were proud to be nominated to host Cape Talk 567 for a live broadcast on Wednesday 6 August 2025 for the ‘Lester in your Lounge’ community segment.
The three hour live broadcast called for an early start for Lawhill staff, students and the Cape Talk Breakfast Show team – but it was so, so worthwhile and we are more than happy to do it again! Our sincere thanks to all involved in this special day. A special shout out to Mariners Guesthouse and Villa in Simon’s Town for accommodating the very early birds, allowing us to sleep in a little past 03h30…
